Long lines form outside Sam's Club in hopes to save before closure

Customers lined up outside the store, which is set to close Jan. 26.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — A long line of people waited outside the Sam's Club on West 86th Street Sunday in hopes of big savings now that the store is closing.

Hundreds will lose jobs when three Indiana Sam's Clubs close. In addition to the West 86th Street location, the East Washington Street location in Indianapolis, and the Elkhart Road location in Goshen will also close Jan. 26.

The closings come after Walmart announced it would raise its minimum pay to $11 per hour.
