Indiana University officials placed the Theta Beta chapter of Chi Omega on cease and desist as they investigate allegations that may involve some of their past members.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WTHR) - Indiana University officials placed the Theta Beta chapter of Chi Omega on cease and desist as they investigate allegations that may involve some of their past members.

The chapter was taking part in formal recruitment on Friday, January 11th, when the cease and desist order was issued.

An IU spokesperson says an investigation is underway and there will be a hearing after the investigation before an administrative review committee.

The committee consists of one person from the office of student conduct, one from the office of sorority and fraternity life, and one from the dean of students office.
