PORTAGE (WTHR) - Indiana Conservation Officers say that three teenagers are hospitalized after a near-drowning in Lake Michigan.
Investigators say a group of five teens were swimming in the lake in area with particularly rough water. One of the teenagers then began to struggle. As the other four attempted a rescue, they also began to struggle.
A group of good Samaritans heard their cries for help and pulled the teenagers from the water.
Three of them went to area hospitals. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
