(WTHR) - The family of missing Indiana University student Lauren Spierer is reacting to a viral video that features the missing persons poster of their daughter as part of an apparent Halloween decoration.
The New York man who took the video says he stumbled across numerous missing persons posters stapled to trees while he was hiking in a wooded area of Long Island. He says he called police, who investigated and told him the property owners put them up as decoration for a Halloween party.

A comment on the Facebook page updated by the Spierer family reads: "We have seen the video comprised of many missing persons' posters, including Lauren's, placed in the woods. I cannot comprehend what would compel someone to find this amusing or entertaining. Clearly they are not a family member of a missing person."
