Missing 16-year-old girl from Tippecanoe County safely located

TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WTHR) — The missing 16-year-old teenager from Tippecanoe County has been safely located.

The Clarks Hill-Lauramie Volunteer Fire Department posted the update on their Facebook page on Thursday at 5:45 p.m. to say Kathleen Lofland was found and is safe.

Lofland, 16, was last seen on Saturday, Oct. 5 riding her teal and black Huffy bicycle on 900 S near Cole Elementary School in Stockwell, Indiana, which is roughly 12 miles from Lafayette.

She is described as 5'7" tall, weighs 140 pounds, has long red hair with blonde highlights, and was wearing a neon yellow hoodie with gray leggings.

Lofland is believed to be suffering from severe depression and is possibly suicidal.
