Lafayette police officer resigns, accused of stealing and selling ammunition

A Lafayette Police officer accused of stealing and selling city owned ammunition is no longer on the force.

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WTHR) – A Lafayette Police officer accused of stealing and selling city owned ammunition is no longer on the force.

Lafayette Police tells Eyewitness News Kevin Price resigned today.

His resignation came just hours before a Lafayette Police Civil Service Commission executive session on the charges.

That meeting has now been canceled.

The Tippecanoe County Prosecutor's office is reviewing the case and the police chief is reviewing the results of an internal affairs investigation.
