INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) – Born with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, Andrew Peterson continues to overcome obstacles.
The elite athlete just learned he'll represent the United States in the upcoming 2019 Special Olympics World Games in Abu Dhabi.
A month later, the 26-year-old will run the Boston Marathon.
He is a fixture in the Indianapolis running community, taking part in the One America Mini Marathon and inspiring others along the way.
The activities will come with a hefty price tag; his dad writes that the participation fees in the Special Olympics alone are $7,000.
An online fund has been set-up by his family here.
