Foster Care in Indiana: The need is great

More than 13,000 Hoosier children are in foster care, but there are only about 6,200 licensed foster parents.

In Indiana, the need for foster families is great.

DCS reports more than 13,000 Hoosier children are in foster care and about 6,200 licensed foster parents.

Older children are most in need of a foster parent. There is an online photo listing of children and sibling groups available for adoption in Indiana. It includes information about each child's strengths, interests, and hobbies.
