COLUMBUS, Ind. (WTHR) — If you're looking for a unique town within an hour drive from Indianapolis for your family to visit this holiday season, look no further than Columbus, Indiana.

WTHR's Carlos Diaz visited iconic locations in the county seat of Bartholomew County.

The Commons is an indoor community and event space with an indoor playground and the one-of-a-kind Chaos 1 sculpture by Jean Tinguely.

Zaharakos Ice Cream Parlor first opened in 1900 but closed in 2006 after one of the original family members died. However, businessman Tony Moravec spent millions restoring the ice cream parlor to its original glory and reopened three years later.
