FORTVILLE, Ind. (WTHR) – Money is tight for many people during this time as many businesses have had to close during the coronavirus pandemic.
An anonymous donor is helping to relieve the stress of Fortville residents this month.
In a post on the Town of Fortville's Facebook page, they announced that the community received a donation.
The donor said they are paying off April water and sewer bills. If a resident has already paid their April bill, the money will go towards their bill in May.
In a statement, the anonymous donor said, "The gift was made by local businesses as an encouragement that we all might look out for one another, find the needs of our neighbors, neighborhoods, and do our part in helping them through this uncertain and unprecedented time... and the good times will soon follow. Thank you and God Bless our people and nation."
