SPEEDWAY, Ind. (WTHR) - After an exciting first day of qualifying at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, fans have their eyes on the sky for day two.
The Last Row Shootout is set to start at 12:15 p.m., with the Fast 9 at 1:15 p.m. and a practice session in the afternoon, but there is a weather contingency plan in place.
IMS President Doug Boles says their main priority is getting the Last Row Shootout in, so they will push it back as long as necessary in order to fit it in. The track dryers will be ready to work as soon as they can, but they will need a window of time to do that.
If the Last Row Shootout can’t run on Sunday, organizers could delay it to Monday instead. If the Fast 9 Shootout doesn’t happen on Sunday, the drivers will be set for the Indy 500 in the positions they earned on Saturday.

10:45-11:15 a.m.: Fast Nine Shootout Practice
11:15 a.m.: Military Enlistment Ceremony, Pagoda Plaza
12:15-1:15 p.m.: Last Row Shootout Qualifying
1:15-2:15 p.m.: Fast Nine Shootout Qualifying
2:15 p.m.: NTT P1 Award Presentation
3:15-6 p.m.: Open practice
TICKETS: $20 (General Admission). Kids 15 and under are free accompanied by adult with ticket.
