"I'll share it with you in heaven": Kokomo boy leaves lemonade for Lt. Aaron Allan

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - A young Kokomo boy who won the hearts of the Southport Police Department with his generosity was a special guest at the funeral of Lt. Aaron Allan Saturday.

Malachi Fronczak opened his lemonade stand in front of his home when he heard of Allan's death on July 27. He sold three varieties of lemonade for whatever price someone wanted to pay, with all the money going to the fund to help the Southport police officer's family.

"I say it's a donation and I ask what kind and they choose a kind and they come back for more if they want," Malachi told Eyewitness News last week.

Four days after Allan's death, Southport Police Chief Tom Vaughn brought several of his officers to Kokomo to collect the donation and say thanks.

Saturday, the kindergartener was a VIP as the state of Indiana and the entire nation said goodbye to the veteran officer. A guest of Kokomo Police, Malachi and his family rode to Indianapolis in a police escort and had a front row seat to the services at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

"We walked into the funeral with the VIP'S and sat there and cried with everyone else. It was a service we will never forget," Malachi's family wrote on the Facebook page for Malachi's Magnificent Lemonade.

Malachi's family stood by officers as Allan's casket was walked out of Bankers Life Fieldhouse, catching the attention of Allan's wife, who took a moment to thank him personally for his fundraising.

"What a sweet moment. What an experience we will never forget," the family wrote.

The Fronczaks also attended the graveside service at Crown Hill Cemetery and attended the dinner after the funeral.

Malachi also visited the memorial to Allan set up outside the Southport Police Department, leaving a bottle of lemonade and an incredibly touching message.

"Dropped off a bottle of lemonade. I'll share it with you in heaven," Malachi wrote.
