IACS asking for help finding who dumped a dog's body near railroad tracks

Indianapolis Animal Care Services is asking for help after a dog's mutilated body was found dumped near railroad tracks.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) – Indianapolis Animal Care Services is asking for help after a dog's mutilated body was found dumped near railroad tracks.

Workers for "Friends of Indianapolis Dogs Outside" found the dog at 21st and Dearborn streets Sunday evening.

Animal Care Services was called.

They say the dog was a black and white male pitbull mix.

The dog was not microchipped and there was no evidence on the scene as to who might be responsible.
