LAWRENCE, Ind. (WTHR) - Thousands of runners are hitting the road for the Indy Half Marathon at Fort Benjamin Harrison.
Many were hoping to have more fall-like weather, but instead will be running through the heat and humidity with temperatures approaching 80 degrees Saturday morning.
Organizers say there will be plenty of water and Gatorade stations along the race route, as well as aid stations for people who don’t feel well.
Runners say they’re excited to enjoy the scenic course, no matter what the weather is like.
