INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - An effort to help the homeless and end food waste is expanding.
Food Drop launched a pilot program here in Indianapolis.
It takes loads of food that stores turn down because they aren't pretty enough to sell.
Last year, the project got 87,000 pounds of produce for families in need.
Now that effort is going statewide.
