There are apparently worse things than being caught with marijuana by a police officer, as two Texas law partners point out in an awful (and catchy) video.

There are apparently worse things than being caught with marijuana by a police officer, as two Texas law partners point out in an awful (and catchy) video.

Attorneys Will Hutson and Chris Harris of Waco posted video of their performance of "Don't Eat Your Weed" to YouTube last September, but for some reason, it has seen a resurgence in popularity in the past week.

The idea behind the song is to let Texans know if they're found in possession of a small amount of marijuana, it's a misdemeanor. But by eating (or otherwise destroying) your stash, you could face felony charges.

"It's just a misdemeanor. You can hire a cleaner to get it off your record," the duo sings in an overt attempt to drum up business.

The video has been viewed more than 130,000 times since it was posted. The video includes contact information for the attorneys on the screen.

"Anything under a quarter pound is still not a felony, but you couldn't eat that much weed. Probably," the song ends.
