Couple announces missing student reward fund

The owners of an apartment complex at the center of the search for a missing student is offering a reward for her return.
Lauren Spierer has been missing since early last Friday.

BLOOMINGTON - The owners of an apartment complex at the center of the search for a missing student is offering a reward for her return.

The owners of Smallwood Plaza, John and Kara Jacobs, announced an initial contribution of $10,000 to the "Help Find Lauren" fund for information in the missing persons case of 20-year-old Lauren Spierer. Spierer, a junior at Indiana University, has been missing since last week.

"My wife and I are committed to doing everything in our power to help find Lauren," said John Jacobs. "We are fully and actively cooperating with the Bloomington Police Department and we encourage anyone who has information regarding her disappearance to come forward immediately. We continue to support the Spierer family with our thoughts, prayers and resources."

The couple is encouraging others to contribute to the reward fund at any Old National Bank location.
