CLINTON COUNTY, Ind. (WTHR) — The Humane Society of Clinton County in Frankfort is looking to find a forever home for its longest-term resident.

It's been a year and two months since Archer has been living at the shelter. His owner was hospitalized and stopped taking care of him. On Nov. 26, 2018, he was rescued from the poor conditions he was subjected to at the home and taken to the shelter.

Archer was visibly malnourished when he arrived at the Clinton County Humane Society in 2018. (Clinton County Humane Society)

When he got to the shelter, Archer was visibly malnourished and frail. Since then, Archer has gone from "skinny minnie" to "chunky monkey."

He's estimated to be around 6 or 7 years old and gets along well with cats and most dogs. As with all potential adopted animals, any other cats or dogs in the house must come in for a meet-and-greet before the adoption can be approved.

Anyone interested in adopting Archer should call the shelter at 765-670-7924. The shelter is open from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday; and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday.
