INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — A baby that's been at Riley Hospital for Children since she was born six months ago, got to go home on Thursday for the first time.
Ava Breeden was born with congenital diaphragmatic hernia, a condition that pushed her abdominal organs into her chest compressing her lungs.
Ava has had to have multiple surgeries to fix the issues.
On Thursday, she and her parents got the go ahead to take her home.
Her parents wheeled her stuff out of the hospital in a wagon they had named in her honor.
