The daily, nonstop flight will start May 7. It will depart Indianapolis twice from Sunday to Friday and once on Saturdays.

Tickets for the new flight will be available to purchase this weekend.

The Boston flight will be the 11th non-stop flight American Airlines runs from Indy. Here are the others:

  • Washington, D.C. (to Reagan National airport)
  • New York (to both LaGuardia and John F. Kennedy airports)
  • Chicago
  • Dallas
  • Los Angeles
  • Philadelphia
  • Phoenix
  • Miami
  • Charlotte

Delta Air Lines also offers a nonstop flight to Boston. Starting in June, Southwest will fly nonstop to Boston once a week.

"Giving Hoosier travelers more options to get there from here is our goal," Indy Airport Authority Executive Director Mario Rodriquez said. "More nonstop flight options enable travelers to get to their destinations easily and quickly."
