WARM END OF THE WEEK LEADS TO COLD WEEKEND:

HEAVY POLICE PRESENCE:
Chopper 13 has located a heavy police presence at at least three locations on Indianapolis' southwest side. Our crews have seen at least one person taken into police custody. Look for updates throughout the morning on WTHR and wthr.com.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY DOUBLE HOMICIDE:
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is investigating a double homicide in the 200 block of Madison Street in Darlington. A suspect is in police custody. Get updates here.

ISTEP RESULTS:
This year marks the second year for more rigorous ISTEP+ testing and scores are down slightly from 2015, according to this year's test results that were released Thursday by the Indiana Department of Education. Click here.

7-YEAR-OLD BOY CHARGED IN FATHER'S SHOOTING:
Prosecutors in Johnson County filed charges against a 7-year-old boy for shooting his father. It's an unusual case and the boy isn't the only one in trouble. Prosecutors also charged his father and stepmother with felony neglect. Learn more.
