Teams of eight will race in pedal boats along the Downtown Canal. Four team members will start near the Ohio Street bridge, pedaling and paddling to the New York Street bridge to switch places with the four remaining team members to race back to the start.

The single-elimination bracket begins at 5 p.m. to narrow down Indy's best.

The winning team will receive 16 tickets to the Big Machine Vodka 400 at the Brickyard powered by Florida Georgia Line race on Sept. 8, eight Wheel Fun Rentals pedal boat rides, and eight VIP Sunset Cinema on the Canal experiences to view "Grease" on Sept. 5.

New this year, a free public concert will take place during the competition for spectators to enjoy live music. My Yellow Rickshaw, a pop, rock, bluegrass, and R&B cover band, will perform outdoors at the Canal Level of the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center. Food options and a bar will also be available for purchase.

Following the Brickyard Pit Stop Paddle Fest, everyone is invited to attend a free screening of the 1990 Tom Cruise action flick, "Days of Thunder," as part of Sunset Cinema on the Canal. Free seating on grassy areas on the north end of the Canal near the Admiral Spruance Basin (11th Street) begins at 7 pm., and the movie starts at 9 p.m.

If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind, movie-going experience, individuals 21 and over can purchase a VIP In-Water Admission for $20, which includes an inner tube to float in the canal and a Sun King beer to enjoy during the movie.
