SEYMOUR, Ind. (WTHR) — What happens when you hand the keys for a police car to a race car driver? How about a lot of fun raising awareness for a great cause.
In Seymour, Indiana on Tuesday, race car drivers got to put their skills to the test on a high speed police training course.
It was part of the Driven2SaveLives Hot Pursuit Road Course event. It raises awareness around organ, tissue and eye donation, as well as seatbelt use.
Nationwide, 114,000 people are waiting for a lifesaving organ transplant and 1,300 of those patients are here in Indiana.
