PALM BEACH, Fla. (WPTV) – A passenger who flew from New York to Florida while waiting coronavirus test results has been banned by JetBlue airlines.

The passenger is banned for life after the airline sighted the safety of the crew and other passengers.

The passenger underwent a test before boarding a plane at JFK on Wednesday.

After arriving in Palm Beach, the passenger learned their test was positive for the virus.

In a statement the airline said:

The event put our crew members, customers, and federal and local officials in an unsettling situation that could have easily been avoided and as such, this customer will not be permitted to fly on JetBlue in the future.
