Health department has COVID-19 testing sites on east side, IMS

Drive-through and walk-up testing is available at Warren Central High School, 9500 E. 16th Street on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6 a.m. until 2 p.m.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Two new community COVID-19 testing sites are now open.

The Marion County Public Health Department and the City of Indianapolis offer drive-through and walk-up testing at Warren Central High School, 9500 E. 16th Street on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Testing began Tuesday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, 4790 W. 16th Street, and be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.

The testing site at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, which began on April 2, will end on May 27. Testing ended May 15 at Eastern Star Church East 30th Street.

The health department has identified "hot spots" for COVID-19 infection and created sites in those areas to address the need.

According to the health department, residents with symptoms of COVID-19 or who meet other testing criteria can register by visiting here, or by calling (317) 221-5515 or (317) 221-8967.

All testing at these sites is by appointment only.
