CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WTHR) — Carolina Panthers owner Jerry Richardson said he won't be discussing business deals to sell his team until after the season, but we know there's at least one interested buyer—Diddy.
The entrepreneur and music mogul announced his interest on Twitter Sunday night.
He said he wants to make history, as there are no African-American majority owners in the NFL.
Diddy then took his big to Instagram, outlining reasons for why he would "be the best NFL owner that you can imagine."
He said he would immediately address the Colin Kaepernick situation by signing him and having him compete for the starting quarterback position. He also said he would have the best halftime shows, and the team would win.
Diddy has at least one supporter, in none other than NBA superstar and Panthers super fan Stephen Curry.
Curry said "I want in!" in response to Diddy wanting to buy the team.
Forbes estimates the Panthers are worth $2.3 billion.
