LOS ANGELES (WTHR) - Indiana comedian Ryan Niemiller is again bringing the house down on "America's Got Talent."

Niemiller finished third in the latest season of the NBC show and will now compete in "America's Got Talent: The Champions," which features 40 contestants who excelled on shows around the globe over the past decade.

Niemiller gave himself the nickname "The Cripple Threat of Comedy" as an ode to a disability he's had in both arms since birth. He used his turn in the AGT spotlight to represent others who are living with a disability.

"Every time someone recognizes me, they always approach me this way...'Are you the guy from AGT?' So I have just been saying, 'No'," he said.

After delivering a performance that had the crowd chanting "Golden Buzzer!" Niemiller had to wait for the judges to pick the last winner of the night to learn that he was advancing to the semifinals.

"That was a Golden Buzzer performance," judge Howie Mandel said after the act.

"You've done better tonight than you did on the main show," added judge Simon Cowell.

"Thank you for being funny," said judge Heidi Klum, who admitted again that she doesn't like comedians, unless they're funny.

"America's Got Talent airs Monday nights at 8 on Channel 13. The semifinals will air next month.

He will also be performing this Thursday and Friday (Jan. 16-17) at the Red Curb Comedy Club in Avon. Click here for more information.
