INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — The final queen has been decided.

Netflix announced English actress Imelda Staunton will play the role of Queen Elizabeth for the fifth and final season of "The Crown."

In the U.S., Staunton is most known for her performance as Dolores Umbridge in the "Harry Potter" films.

She was previously nominated for an Oscar and Golden Globe for her performance in the 2004 film, "Vera Drake."

The show is ending earlier than expected, as creator Peter Morgan had previously stated that the show would last for six seasons.

Claire Foy first portrayed Queen Elizabeth in the first two seasons from the years 1947-1964, winning both an Emmy and Golden Globe.

Olivia Colman took over the role for the recently-aired season 3, depicting Queen Elizabeth's reign from 1964-1977, and won the Golden Globe in January. She will also star in the upcoming fourth season.
