DETROIT (WTHR) — Rapper Cardi B is typically the one being interviewed, but she turned the tables to chat with a popular Democratic candidate.
Bernie Sanders released his sit-down discussion with Cardi B Thursday on his YouTube channel.
The 26-year-old rapper and 77-year-old Vermont senator met at THE TEN Nail Bar in Detroit to discuss several issues he plans to tackle in his bid to become the next president, such as police brutality, immigration, and the economy.
The nearly 12-minute video ended with a call to action for the next generation to take a stand.
"Young people have got to get involved in the political process," Sanders said. "If we have young people voting in large numbers, you know what, I have zero doubt that Donald Trump will be defeated."
