Woman punched by armed men during violent home invasion

It happened near 30th Street and Georgetown Road around 11:30 Wednesday night.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - An Indianapolis mom is recovering after a violent home invasion.

It happened near 30th Street and Georgetown Road around 11:30 Wednesday night.

The back door of her home was kicked in, she says, by two masked men with guns who punched her in the face.

The chaos got the attention of her 11, 9 and 8 year-old daughters who were in their bedrooms.

"When my daughters hear any noises, they come out to my room," said victim Zuleima Zagal. "My oldest daughter say they guys you want money, I got the money, but don't do anything to my mom."

The family has since put up pieces of heavy lumber to block the door and say they're getting a new home alarm system.

If you can help in this case, call Crime Stoppers at (317) 262-TIPS.
