Two arrested after high-speed chase through four Indiana counties
Devon Gibson (left) and Javante Toran were arrested after a four-county chance Monday.

FAYETTE COUNTY (WTHR) - A high-speed chase through four east central Indiana counties landed two men in jail.

It started on Interstate 70 in Henry County on Monday. According to our partners at the Courier Times in New Castle, the driver got out of the car to talk with a deputy during a traffic stop and the passenger got behind the wheel and took off.

The passenger-turned-driver, Javante Toran, reached speeds over 100 mph as he drove through Henry, Wayne and Union counties. The chase ended when police put out stop sticks in Fayette County and Toran crashed into a pole.

Police arrested Toran and the original driver, Devon Gibson. Both men allegedly had a skimming device and drugs on them when they were taken into custody.
