PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind. (WTHR) – A traffic stop by an Indiana State Trooper on I-70 led to a drug bust.

Around 3 p.m. Friday, a state trooper saw a vehicle following to close on eastbound I-70.

The driver of the white Ford Fusion was later identified as 35-year-old Mindy Wilson of Mt Vernon, Illinois.

During the course of the traffic stop, the trooper was given consent to search the vehicle and found 221 grams of methamphetamine in the trunk.

The estimated street value of the methamphetamine is $4,500.

The trooper also found out that the vehicle Wilson was driving had been reported stolen out of Jefferson County, Illinois earlier that morning.

Wilson was taken into custody and transported to the Putnam County Jail.
