INDIANAPOLIS — One person is dead and two others injured in a pair of unrelated shootings in Indianapolis Friday night.

Police say two people were shot in the 400 block of Harlan Street on the city's southeast side just after 9:20 p.m. One man was found with an apparent gunshot wound and pronounced dead at the scene by medics.

Police found the other person who was also shot and taken to an area hospital in serious condition.

Neither has been identified by authorities.

Investigators determined the shooting stemmed from an ongoing argument.

Around the same time as the Harlan shooting, officers responded to another shooting in the 3800 block of N. Temple Avenue, near E. 38th Street and N. Keystone Avenue.

The victim of that shooting is in serious condition, police said.

There was no other information about that victim or potential suspects or motive.

Anyone with information about either incident should call Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317.262.8477 or (TIPS).
