COLUMBUS, Ind. (WTHR) — Columbus police say they have arrested a woman who was driving under the influence with her infant in the vehicle.
The arrest happened Nov. 15 near Lincoln Park on the north side of Columbus.
According to Columbus Police, 19-year-old Lilly Hall of of Columbus was driving over the center line on 25th Street around 3:20 a.m. They say she almost hit a curb at Hawcreek Boulevard, and stopped her.
Police described a strong odor of marijuana while they were talking with Hall, who then failed several field sobriety tests.
Police searched her vehicle and found marijuana inside a jacket and a small amount of marijuana in a diaper bag in the back seat.
In the center console, they say they found a THC vape pen.
Hall was taken to the hospital and later placed under arrest. Her 13-month-old child was placed with family.
Hall is in the Bartholomew County jail facing three preliminary charges:
- Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated with a Minor Present (Level 6 Felony)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Class C Misdemeanor)
- Possession of Marijuana (Class B Misdemeanor)
