INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — A man that assaulted a veteran during a road rage incident was found guilty Wednesday.

A jury convicted Daniel Dombrowski, 22, of Battery Resulting in Moderate Bodily Injury.

James Yacconi took his Harley Davidson out for a ride last March and while on Madison Avenue slowed to tell a Lyft driver his brake light was out.

Dombrowski was in a car behind Yacconi and when they stopped at a light, Dombrowski got out and hit Yacconi in the face.

Yacconi spent a week in the hospital with his jaw broken in two places.

He is still on medications and getting bills totaling close to $32,000.

Dombrowski claimed self-defense, but two witnesses and the Lyft driver's dash cam helped the jury find him guilty.
