Ligonier ranked safest town in Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Where's the safest place to live in the state? Ligonier, according to Safewise's newest listing of the safest cities.

The group reviewed FBI crime report statistics and populations for the year 2015. They then ranked Indiana cities and Ligonier came in as the safest city, followed by Zionsville, Berne, St. John and Lowell.

Seven of the safest cities in Indiana reported fewer than one dozen violent crimes.

Indianapolis ranked 95th out of 97.
