IMPD investigating fatal shooting at 38th and Orchard

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department investigated an overnight shooting at 38th Street and Orchard Avenue.

Police said two men were shot early Sunday morning just before 2:30 a.m.

Early Monday, the coroner's office identified one victim as William Scott III, 30. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other man, who has not been identified, was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
