IMPD investigating fatal shooting on Indy's east side

Police found the male shot near New York Street and Sherman Drive. He died at the hospital.

INDIANAPOLIS — Metro police say a person was shot and killed on the city's east side overnight.

Officers were called to 300 North Bradley Ave. just north of East New York Street around 1:30 a.m. on a person shot. They found a male with a gunshot wound, and medics took him to Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition. He was pronounced deceased a short time after his arrival.

The victim has not been identified.

Homicide detectives are now investigating but haven't shared any suspect information.
