FREMONT, Ind. (WTHR) - The Fremont Police Department has issued a warning for parents to check their kids' Halloween candy after one of the town's firefighters found a nail and thumb tacks in his kids' candy after trick-or-treating Monday night in Coldwater, Michigan.
While the Fremont Police wrote on Facebook that there have not been any reports of candy being tampered with in the Fremont area, they advise all parents to "check and double check" their kids' candy, regardless. It could happen anywhere.
