FISHERS, Ind. (WTHR) — K-9 teams and the public are invited to the ceremony for the K-9 who was shot and killed in the line of duty Wednesday morning.
The ceremony for Harlej, a 5-year-old Belgian Malinois who had been with the force since 2015, will be Wednesday, Nov. 20 at Fishers High School from 6–7 p.m.
K-9 teams are asked to arrive at 4 p.m., and the public will be admitted beginning at 5 p.m.
Following the ceremony, officers will lead a procession from the high school to the Fishers Police Department where the final 10-42 will take place, which indicates an officer's end of tour.
