INDIANAPOLIS — Two people are dead and one other was injured after a shooting on East Washington Street.
Police said the shooting happened near the intersection of Washington and Davidson streets around 3:30 p.m.
Medics pronounced one person dead at the scene. The Marion County Coroner's Office identified him as 20-year-old Daeron Freeman.
Another person was transported to Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition and died from their injuries Sept. 14. The Marion County Coroner's Office that victim as 19-year-old Christopher Wiley.
Police said a third person arrived at Community East Hospital with a gunshot wound to the arm and is in stable condition. After a preliminary investigation, investigators believe that victim was also connected to the incident at Washington and Davidson.
