Marion County, Aug. 18 - The Indiana Court of Appeals says a judge who ordered a mom and dad to shield their son from their Wiccan beliefs overstepped his authority.

Marion Superior Court Judge Cale Bradford added the religious ban to a 2004 divorce decree for Thomas Jones and Tammy Bristol of Indianapolis.

Jones is a Wiccan activist.

The Appeals Court threw out Judge Bradford's order since state law gives parents the authority to determine a child's upbringing, including religion.
