'Coats for Kids' gives out thousands of coats to central Indiana children

Hats and gloves too! Coats for Kids distribution happened Saturday at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Let’s help Central Indiana children stay warm this fall and winter.

Every year, for the past 30 plus years, Coats for Kids has provided thousands of free winter coats to children in need.


Coats for Kids distribution happened Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the Elements Financial Blue Ribbon Pavilion.

WTHR is proud to partner with Salvation Army, Classic Cleaners, McCool’s Flooring, and Chapman Heating & Air Conditioning for Coats for Kids.



We had coats ranging in size from infant to teens, plus hats and gloves.


Every year, for the past 30 plus years, Coats for Kids has provided thousands of free winter coats to children in need.
