MUNCIE, Ind. (WTHR) - Nearly 200 pets from the Muncie animal shelter now have a new home.

Someone dropped off a U-Haul Friday with nearly 40 cats inside. Saturday, the shelter held an all-day holiday adoption event, even staying open until midnight. Cats cost just $1 and dogs were only $5!

The shelter says 157 cats found a new home and 41 dogs were adopted.

The cats from the U-haul are not up for adoption yet. They need to get their shots and be neutered before going up to a new home.
