INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - NBC sports analyst Mike Tirico needed a ride to from the airport to IMS Wednesday morning. Racing legend Mario Andretti obliged, driving the IndyCar two-seater.

"This is the uber Uber ride of all time," Tirico said, laughing. "Are you serious? Mario Andretti picking me up at the airport? This is a lifetime thrill for me."

Mario told Tirico to "just hang on, don't worry, you'll be dry in a minute," referring to showers in the area at the time.

"When we get there, we'll kiss the bricks, how's that?" he told Tirico.

Under police escort, the pair traveled highways and streets to Speedway.
