Nancy Irsay, widow of Bob Irsay, dies at 65

Eyewitness News has learned that Nancy Irsay, wife of former Colts owner Bob Irsay, has died at the age of 65.

Irsay passed away Saturday, November 7th, 2015.

Nancy Irsay was known for her philanthropic work, as well as her involvement in horse shows at her equestrian facility Sweet Charity Farm in Carmel. The farm was sold in 2005.

Nancy married Bob Irsay in 1989. The couple bought a 132-acre plot in Carmel in 1994, and built up their equestrian facility, hosting numerous horse shows.

Irsay became an advocate for early testing for a chronic, genetic lung disease which she was diagnosed with.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Hamilton County Humane Society, 1721 Pleasant Street, Suite B, Noblesville, Indiana 46060, or to the Alpha 1 Foundation, 3300 Ponce de Leon Blvd., Coral Gables, Florida 33134.
