TIPTON, Ind. (WTHR) - The Tipton County health department is urging people to stay vigilant against mosquitoes after some tested positive for West Nile.

It was discovered during a routine check, something the state health department has been doing all summer.

They say to help avoid the mosquito-borne illness, you should wear bug repellent with DEET, wear long sleeves and pants and limit time outside during dawn and dusk when mosquitoes are most active.
