Heavy rain fell across central Indiana yesterday. Record rain fell yesterday in Indianapolis with 1.82” of precipitation. That brings the month of August to 1.94” of rain. Looking back at rainfall through June 1, Indianapolis is just over a half inch of a deficit. With more rain in the forecast, that deficit will likely be much lower in the next week.

A few spotty showers will be possible today.

It will also be warm and humid with temperatures climbing into the mid 80s

It will be partly cloudy and mild this evening. Temperatures will eventually fall into the mdi 60s by Thursday morning.

While there is a chance of an isolated thunderstorm, most of the day will be dry and warm. Afternoon highs will climb into the mid 80s.

Thursday will be the pick of the week.

More heat and humidity arrives Friday. Scattered thunderstorms are possible Friday afternoon and evening. Afternoon highs will soar into the upper 80s to near 90 degrees.
