INDIANAPOLIS — Beginning Thursday, there's a new nonstop flight to a Florida destination from Indianapolis International Airport.
On Nov. 19, Spirit Airlines added service to Ft. Lauderdale with an inaugural 10:20 a.m. flight.
Spirit also provides Indianapolis passengers with nonstop flights to Orlando, Fort Myers, Tampa and Las Vegas.
“This is Spirit’s first nonstop flight from Indianapolis to Ft. Lauderdale,” said Indianapolis Airport Authority Sr. Director of Commercial Enterprise Marsha Stone. “For those ready to return safely to the skies and a warm winter destination, Spirit is giving Hoosiers one more option to visit the Sunshine State.”
Allegiant Air and Southwest Airlines also offer nonstop flights to Ft. Lauderdale.
