Traders Point Creamery CEO responds to viral Super Bowl commercial

Mark Vander Kooy adjusted the words from the Oatly commercial and belted out a...memorable rendition of his own.

ZIONSVILLE, Ind. — There's that old saying, "There is no such thing as bad publicity." That's what Oatley's CEO must have been going for in his non-dairy milk option Super Bowl ad.

While most people seemed to agree it was the worst ad of the night, it was also getting talked about a lot the next day.

All that fuss got the attention of Traders Point Creamery CEO Mark Vander Kooy. They were sitting around Monday when one of the accountants mentioned they should do their own video as a joke.

"I thought, 'We should do that!'" Mark told 13News.

He reached out to Farm Manager Macy Stewart who is also a talented musician. She brought over a keyboard and they headed out into the field to do their own version.

"We like to have fun and wanted to have a little fun," he said.

Mark adjusted the words from the Oatly commercial and belted out a...memorable rendition of his own. After just two takes they felt they had it. His singing definitely got the attention of Prancer, the larger cow, standing behind him.

"Dairy is not bad," Mark said. "We hope people drink more milk."

Traders Point Creamery is open for business, and that includes the restaurant, which is following COVID restrictions. They also have some Valentine's goodies if you're looking for ideas. You can find out more about what they have to offer here.
